Here at Adeli, our philosophy has always been, where possible, to source local and to try and supply products and produce that the major superstores can’t offer our customers.
We also like wine.
Imagine how excited we were when we got talking to Laurel Wines, who came along and offered to tick all three boxes!!
Laurel vines is family owned and run, with everyone playing their part in growing, picking and production.
Born from a passion for developing the very best wine they can, they control the whole process from growing the vine and grapes to fermenting the wine through to bottling. Only using quality ingredients, the best equipment and seeking the best advice to ensure quality is “grown in” to all aspects of their wine making process.
We are truly proud to be a stockist of a local wine that is something unique and different.
Based in the small hamlet of Aike in East Yorkshire, a very rural location based between Beverley and Driffield, the Overy idea of a vineyard in the cooler climate of Yorkshire was always going to be challenging to say the least, but surveys of Laurel Farm were carried out to prove that the permeable and well structured soil of the Wolds is perfect for growing grape vines.
So as ‘English Wine Week’ starts tomorrow, why not pop down and pick a bottle up for the sunny Bank Holiday weekend and try it for yourselves.
